We have a female cockatiel that is in the cage with a male parakeet. She keeps laying eggs. Are they "just eggs" or could they possibly hatch into birds?

I have a parakeet and a cockatiel, and a huge cage.Is it possible to seperate the top part and the bottom part , and put the cockatiel on the top , and the parakeet on the bottom?Kind of like a 2 story cage.
