Is it possible for a Cockatiel and a Parakeet to have babies together?

We have a female cockatiel that is in the cage with a male parakeet. She keeps laying eggs. Are they "just eggs" or could they possibly hatch into birds?

What is the average life span of a Cockatiel?

My dad's bird is 22 years old and looks healthy as can be. We have had two other cockatiel's that were babies when purchased and one lived to be 8 the other to be 7. Is 22 uncommon for such a bird?

Can you get a parentfed cockatiel from a pet store to behave as tame and affectionate as a handfed one?

I read that hand fed cockatiel babies are more affectionate, bite less and can be trained. I can nuzzle my 1 yr old but he still tries to bite and can’t be trained so far besides the ‘up’ command. I got him from a pet store and can’t afford another cockatiel.

How long before a baby cockatiel can be given to a new owner?

A friend of mine just had 2 cockatiel eggs hatch and wants to give the babies to me when they're ready. We're not sure how long they need to stay with there parents. Any suggestions on when they are ready?
