Hey I AM getting a green iguana, (Don't write Don't get one or BS like that.) should I get a male or female iguana? Also how to sex them if there babies?

You can't really tell the difference between sex in young iguanas. I know one sign of a female iguana is visible spores (you can clearly see circles under the hind legs) on under their hind legs, but some males can have these too. Males are usually more agressive but if you handle your iguana a lot you don't have to worry about this. I had one male and one female for two years. The male didn't like other people besides me touching him the female was more calm. Also males get bigger then females so it all depends on what your looking for. I would go with the male I like bigger repti's more because smaller ones have more places to hide lol.
Oh yeah my male use to chase people out of my room when he walked around lol. He wouldn't bite them I think he thought of it as a game. He loved to chase my mom through the house I think he thought she was playing with him lol.
